MICHAEL MARTIN 

Michael Martin was born and raised in Montreal and grew up in a bilingual household with parents from Ireland and France. The opportunity to be raised in this manner, and formally educated in French and English, allowed him to flow freely through the English and French cultures that make Montreal such a great city. Michael is well travelled, having lived in France, worked in Abu Dhabi and Dubai and visited over 15 countries in South America, Western and Central Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. By virtue of his cultural background and experiences abroad, he has a great understanding of the overseas mindset.

Michael has been a Realtor (Property Agent) since 2007. Before becoming an independent agent, he worked as an assistant to Marie Yvonne Paint, Westmount’s number 1 Real Estate Broker and top 5 in Canada for Royal LePage. In the process, Michael acquired much experience in selling luxury real estate and dealing with a demanding and high profile clientele. He successfully negotiated and completed large transactions often in the several million dollar range. He brings to the Downtown Realty Team an extensive knowledge of the Downtown, South-West, and Westmount Real Estate market.

 He applies his linguistic skills well to the art of ‘Property descriptions’ and understands the importance of ‘innovative marketing’ as a means to consistently provide sellers with the best possible exposure.

He has also acquired much knowledge in the field of high-end condominium sales in the Old Port, and in the South West areas of Pointe-St-Charles, St Henry, Little Burgundy, Griffintown and the ‘Atwater Market’ area near the canal. Michael is well known to other Real Estate Brokers (Agents) in the Downtown Montreal area with whom he has developed good working relationships.

ALEXANDER KAY

Alex Kay is English by birth but has lived in Montreal since 1998 having narrowly missed the infamous ice storm. He has lived in England, New Zealand, Spain and France and having finally found a place he can call home, has been involved in Real Estate in some form or another since 2002. He is bilingual in English and French and has a working knowledge of Spanish. He is a graduate of the University of Exeter in the UK.

As a regular on the Downtown scene, Alex is often a point of reference for many of his colleagues when it comes to market activity in the Downtown core and especially in the Quartier des Spectacles, which is also the area where he lives as he specialises in the high-end condo market. He has also received multiple awards in the Royal LePage corporate family including the 'Gold Award' for being in the top 10% of realtors in Canada and is now looking forward to improving on that with Remax Action Westmount.

Alex originally started working in Real Estate marketing and learned the art of market analysis and how to evaluate the proficiency of an advertising campaign. He also has a keen interest in statistics and can quickly evaluate a unit’s potential sale value almost anywhere in the city using statistics and historical data.

He is also one of the few brokers in the City to consistently list rental properties and can provide invaluable experience in that field to anyone interested in renting their unit. In addition to that, Alex has transaction records in Le Plateau, Old Montreal, St Henri, and Westmount.

CHARLES LA HAYE

Charles is a born and bred Montrealer. He is a young, energetic and dynamic professional. In addition to his real estate expertise, Charles also concentrated on project management, having obtained an Advanced Project Management certification from McGill University. His knowledge in finance, investment properties, in addition to daycares, residential and commercial real estate projects allows him to offer his clients the full service and support needed to achieve the highest rate of return on real estate investments.

Charles has proven abilities in Real Estate sales, leasing, marketing, project management, return-on-investment forecasting, E-marketing and software. He has also received the Director’s Platinum Award - Royal Le Page (for agents who achieved a top 5% sales earnings of overall residential listings.) and is determined to put this expertise to good use with Remax Action Westmount and the Downtown Realty Team.

Charles' experience representing a Real Estate Holding Company in a condo conversion project has allowed him to develop a unique and diverse skill-set. In the domain of project management, he has successfully assisted in the financial structuring of residential and commercial development projects, as well as the procurement of required permits (including permits from the Comité Consultatif d'Urbanisme (CCU) for historically protected areas and the Ministère de la Famille for new daycares and building permits specific to Heritage properties in Montreal).
